West coast rapper, Tyga became the first artist to release an album from Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment (other than Wayne himself) back in 2008, with the album No Introduction. That debut album was a joint venture between Lil’ Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment and Fallout Boy’s Pete Wentz’s Decaydance Records. The album’s first and only single, “Coconut Juice” helped put Young Money on the map generating some buzz play on MTV, but failed to chart high. Despite having production from Fallou Boy’s Patrick Stump and S*A*M & Sluggo, No Introduction only managed to sell an estimated 35,000 copies.

With a few years of experience  and brand development with Young Money behind him,(Young Money Entertainment released We Are Young Money a Super group album in which Tyga was featured alongside other label stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj in 2009)  and a Grammy nomination for Chris Brown’s “Deuces”, Tyga is ready to release his second solo album.

The new album is called Careless World. and it will feature rapping style that is comparable to the album We Are Young Money rather than the poppy dance element shown on, No Introduction. Also some other changes are that Lil’ Wayne will serve as executive producer on the album. For No Introduction Pete Wentz was the primary executive producer and Lil Wayne was not a producer. Even though Tyga is still jointly signed with Young Money and Decaydance, Wentz will not be creatively involved. One big change that comes with this is that the album will be distributed by Young Money’s distributor, Cash Money Records, which has a home at Universal Motown Records Group and Universal Republic Records Group. No Introduction was released by Decaydance’s distributor, Fueled By Ramen Records, part of the Atlantic Records family. This shows why Cash Money’s Ronald “Slim” Williams and Brian “Birdman” Williams are listed as executive producers as well.

While Fallout Boy’s Patrick Stump was one of Tyga’s primary producers with the first album, they are clearly going in a more urban direction this time around.  Some of Careless World’s producers are Kane Beatz, Phenom, DJ Infamous, The Neptunes, Bangladesh, and  Cool & Dre to name a few.  Tyga has said that the album shows he has grown up but still relates to the kids.

Some details about the album are still unknown, but some of the album’s guests include, Chris Brown, Mario, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, The Game, Pharrell Williams,  J. Cole, and Young Money artists such as Drake and of course, Lil Wayne Perhaps one of the coolest guests on the album is one of the most surprising. The first official single is “Far Away”, and it features Chris Richardson from season 6 of American Idol.

For those of you who do not already lmow, Chris Richardson ranked 5th in the 6th season of American Idol in 2007. During American Idol, Chris received many comparisons to Justin Timberlake, from judge Randy Jackson. Since leaving Idol Chris has been hard at work on his debut album. In February 0f 2008 his song “All Alone” was leaked and then put on sale digitally . As of now Chris does not appear to be officially signed to any major label, but according to his Twitter account,  he just may be the latest artist to sign with Cash Money? Keep an eye out for Chris, big things will start happening for him now that he has a single with Tyga! Look for Tyga’s Careless World hitting stores this summer!!
