Will Nelly’s Recent Arrest Affect His Tour With New Kids On The Block? Get The Details

Details have been coming out after Nelly’s bad weekend when he was arrested on felony drug charges on Saturday (April 11, 2015) in Tennessee. If you are a fan of his who is trying piece it all together and figure out what is going to happen with this case together, here are the facts. According to arrest records, the “Hot In Herre” rapper was taken into custody after police stopped his tour bus and inspected it after the highway patrol smelled marijuana.
Inside, the bus, police found methamphetamine, marijuana, other drug-related materials and handguns. Therefore, Nelly, real name, Cornell Haynes, was then charged with felony possession of drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The Associated Press has reported that Nelly was released on ten thousand dollars bond and has a court date set for June 19th. Despite the negative press that is stemming from this arrest, Nelly’s Attorney, Scott Rosenblum released a statement expressing his confidence in Nelly’s innocence. Rosenblum said: “We are extremely confident that when the facts come out, Nelly will not be associated with the contraband that was allegedly discovered.”
In other Nelly news, while his music career seems to be on the decline, he has very successfully transitioned himself into a memorable reality star. Thanks to his hit BET reality shows, Nellyville, and Real Husbands Of Hollywood with Kevin Hart and Nick Cannon, his fans have gotten to see a light and more family-man side to the St. Louis Hip Hop star. Music is still very much a priority foe him though. As we previously reported Nelly will join TLC to help open for New Kids On The Block for their, The Main Event Tour. However, as we previously mentioned, Nelly is due in court in Tennessee on June 19th, the same day he is scheduled to be in Philadelphia with NKOTB.
