Will.I.Am Admits To Claiming Stolen Song As His Own

Will.I.Am is in a bit of trouble for his new song with Chris Brown.  The Rapper/Producer called in to LA’s KIIS FM today to admit that using the beat to someone else’s song for his own “Let It Go” track.  This is because last week House music producer Arty accused Will of stealing the beat to “Rebound,” a song that Arty did a few years back with now 22 year old English producer Mat Zo.  While admitting to using the track, Will went on to compliment the two producers.

“I’m a fan of Arty. I think he’s great and the world needs to know about how talented those guys are. It’s sad that it’s turned into a fiasco but hopefully it’s resolved because I’m a fan of those guys to the point where I wrote to their instrumental.”

Will’s excuse for the beat usage mix up is that he thought all of the licensing issues were taken care of.  Things are being fixed now.  Hopefully this will have a positive outcome when it’s all said and done.

Take a listen to the two songs below.
