Whitney Houston’s Mother Has Inked A Deal To Publish “Unbelievable” Memoir
The news broke earlier this week that Whitney Houston’s mother Cissy Houston has inked a deal with book publisher HaperCollins to publish a memoir about her famous daughter. Reports describe the memoir as a revealing “unabridged and unbelievable story” about Whitney and her unique life. Cissy released a statement discussing her reasons for wanting to do the memoir.
“When I lost my daughter Nippy, the world lost one of the most beautiful voices and an extraordinarily beautiful and charitable woman.” said Cissy Houston.
“In sharing our story in this book, I hope to give her fans something to treasure, the way we all treasured Whitney. We are still receiving thousands of letters each day from her fans, and I hope reading this book will provide a deeper understanding into my daughter’s true story.”
Whitney Houston ‘s memoir comes as part of, what appears to be, her family’s conscious effort to use the media to preserve the good things about her character and life after her controversy littered and untimely death in February. In addition to the forthcoming book released through HarperCollins, the Houston family has secured the airing of 10 episodes of their Lifetime network reality show, The Houston Family Chronicles. We’ve yet to hear about an air date from Lifetime. The highly anticipated memoir is currently set to be released in February of next year.
