THE VAMPS, UK TEEN SENSATIONS, U.S. DEBUT EP “SOMEBODY TO YOU” ARRIVING AUGUST 5TH

(June 16, 2014 – New York, NY) After their debut album entered the UK national chart at #2, British teen sensations The Vamps announce their first U.S. EP entitled “Somebody to You” set to be released August 5th on Island Records. Pre-Order available now! The EP will feature “Somebody To You” and their Top 3 UK hit “Wild Heart” (which was their first U.S. single released over the winter, currently available at iTunes) and is available for pre-order NOW. In the interim, UK hitmakers The Vamps – singer Bradley Will Simpson, guitarist James McVey, drummer Tristan Evans, and bassist Connor Ball – will perform on NBC’S Today Show on July 24th!
The Vamps’ first major U.S. tour will take them on the road with Austin Mahone during July and August, dates below. This follows up the group’s first visit to the U.S. in February, when they played at New York’s Gramercy Theater (tickets sold-out in 5 minutes!) and appeared on ABC’s Live with Kelly & Michael, FOX 5’s Good Day New York, and TMZ.
The Vamps were subsequently named a Radio Disney “Next Big Thing” artist, which gives fans exclusive behind-the scenes access to developing young recording artists on their way to becoming music’s Next Big Thing. In conjunction, The Vamps joined the all-star roster of “On the Road to the Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMAs)” and performed at the kickoff of the 7-city tour in Orlando, and closed out the final show at the Radio Disney Music Awards “ARDY’s Pre-show Party” festival in Los Angeles in April. At The RDMA’s The Vamps introduced Fifth Harmony’s performance and were nominated for “The Freshest—Best New Artist”.
The Vamps have earned over 1.8 million Facebook likes, 3.7 million combined Twitter followers, and have amassed more than 84.3 million combined views on their YouTube channel, including impressive numbers for “Can We Dance” (over 17 million views), “Last Night” (7.8 million views), and “Wild Heart” (9.7 million views).
Since their formation in 2012, The Vamps have played more than 80 live performances, including opening for the Wanted’s UK area tour in March 2014; opening for Taylor Swift’s five O2 London shows in February 2014; and opening two sold-out shows for Selena Gomez in London most recently.
