TVGN Is Getting “Unusually Thicke” In April
Alan Thicke And Tanya Thicke In “Unusually Thicke” TVGNThere was a time where Robin Thicke was consistently introduced in the press as, “the son of Growing Pains star, Alan Thicke.” However, ever since Robin’s recent with success with “Blurred Lines” it has been cool to see that things in the press are quite the opposite now, This is most noticeable in the trailer for Alan and family’s new “reality” show called, Unusually Thicke.
The show that will hit TVGN on April 16th centers around Alan, his much younger wife, Tanya Thicke, and their son, Carter Thicke, follows the family as Alan tries to reboot his career with a possible, Growing Pains reboot. The show will feature cameos from the likes of Jay Leno, John Stamos, David Hasselhoff, Bob Saget, and even Robin will show up every now and then.
This would not be the first time Robin and his father’s careers have crossed paths. Everyone knows that Alan wrote TV theme songs with his first wife, Gloria Loring, but did you know Alan has even wrote a couple of songs with Robin? When Robin was a teenager he was hired to help write and produce songs on the debut solo album for New Kids On The Block member, Jordan Knight. It was then when Alan and Robin’s older brother Brennan joined in the fun, co-writing with Robin and Jordan on the song “Separate Ways.” Many years later Alan then helped co-write Robin’s song, “Ain’t No Hat 4 That” from the Blurred Lines Album. (Also featuring a cameo by Robin’s son Julian)
Robin stepped in his dad’s world of acting while growing up by playing a small role as Ben Seaver’s friend on Growing Pains. Hear Robin talk about what that was like in his recent interview with The Seacrest Studios at The Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia.
