From her triumphant premiere at SXSW this year, to sold out shows in New York City and Los Angeles this spring, Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo recently signed on as the newest addition to the Island Records roster as her Top 20 Spotify hit “Habits (Stay High)” impacts at Alternative radio, with the video netting over 3.5 million YouTube views to date. The Swedish songstress will now also be making her late night television debut on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, June 18th at 12:35AM ET / 11:35PM CT.
Tove Lo’s impressive debut EP “Truth Serum” (Island Records) includes popular tracks such as “Habits (Stay High)” (which received early support from Sirius Alt Nation and KROQ), as well as her previous single “Out Of Mind.” The EP’s closing track “Stay High (featuring Hippie Sabotage) [Habits Remix],” has now received over 11 million streams on SoundCloud, was named a #1 real-time Shazamed track in the UK, reached Top 10 on the iTunes Alternative chart, and reached Top 10 on the Spotify Viral Top 50. Also gaining U.S. traction from the EP is “Not On Drugs,” characterized as a “stunner” by TIME Magazine.

Tove Lo, is a graduate of Stockholm’s prestigious and rigorous Rytmus Music school, a springboard for young Swedish artists like Robyn,Erik Hassle, Caroline Hjelt of Icona Pop and Amanda Mair. After early songwriting collaborations with producer Max Martin, Tove earned her first cuts with her compositions “We Got the World” (Icona Pop) and “Something New” (Girls Aloud).
Since embarking on her songwriting career, Tove soon realized she had a knack for writing and quickly turned her attention to her own material in the studio in her native Stockholm. Fast forward just a couple of years and this exciting new artist has inked a deal with Island Records and produced one of the most exciting debuts of 2014.
