#ICYMI: Toasting Lady Gaga’s New Engagement By Remembering The Video That Started It All “You And I”

Pop star Lady Gaga had a big Valentine’s Day weekend. In case you were distracted by everything going on from SNL40 and missed it, Mother Monster was proposed to by her actor boyfriend Taylor Kinney. Following an initial report from US Weekly, Gaga confirmed on Monday via her instragram that she accepted.

He gave me his heart on Valentine’s Day, and I said YES!

According to Times Herald-Record  editor Barry Lewis, Gaga and Kinney celebrated after the question was popped at the family’s restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. Fans first got wind of everything when she posed smiling while strategically hiding her ring during her first post Valentines Day public appearance. Click here to see the photo

Although it wasn’t on the record at that time anyone that has been watching the couple would be able to guess that this was bound to happen soon. Although they are normally pretty private about the details of their personal lives, They have been on again off again since they met on the set of her “you and I” music video in 2011. Interestingly enough, Gaga can be seen in the Kinney featured clip sporting her mother’s wedding dress, giving an oddly pleasant hint of fait to the whole thing despite hitting a brief rough patch in 2012

Gaga gushed about the Chicago Fire star while talking with Sirius Radio Jock Howard Stern.
