Thirty Secords To Mars’ Jered Leto In Final Stage Talks To Play The Joker In Suicide Squad

Comic book loving music fans rejoice. The casting list of David Ayers’ big budget film version of DC Comics’ Suicide Squad is being narrowed down, and it looks like Thirty seconds to mars frontman Jared Leto has apparently made the cut. As we reported previously, DC and Warner Bros were rumored to be considering the “City Of Angels” singer to fill the very big shoes of the late Heath Ledger and take on the iconic role of The Joker. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leto is in the final stages of talks to have his version of The Joker join fellow DC Comics villain Deadshot, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn, in the Batman spinoff that will feature the dynamic Gotham City criminals as an ensemble in what is likely to be criminal caper thriller plot. In addition to Jared Leto, said ensemble is reported to include Jai Courtney, Tom Hardy, and Margot Robbie.
As previously reported, we think that Leto’s high consideration for the demanding Joker role came as the result of his transformative Oscar winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club.
