Wonder Girls Featuring Akon "Like Money" JYP Entertainment
Los Angeles, CA (July 9th, 2012) – K-Pop sensations THE WONDER GIRLS have announced they will release their new single “Like Money” featuring international superstar and chart topper AKON on Monday, July 9th via iTunes. The electronic inspired pop track, written by Grammy award winning songwriter Crystal Nicole “Cri$tyle” (Rihanna’s “Only Girl”), reunites the girls with producer Woo S. Rhee “RAINSTONE,” who was also responsible for writing and producing the group’s international hit “Nobody,” which entered Billboard’s Hot 100 Chart in October 2009.
The music video, directed by Ethan Lader (Bruno Mars, B.O.B, Enrique Iglesias), boasts a futuristic style where the girls, styled by Johnny Wujek (Katy Perry, America’s Next Top Model), are displayed as robotic like characters giving full on dance routines with additional hook driven vocals provided by AKON. Fans can see the new video on July 9th when it premieres on VEVO (8AM PST/11AM EST).

ABOUT THE WONDER GIRLS
Hailing from South Korea, the Wonder Girls (Yenny, Yubin, Sun, Sohee, Lim) are quickly becoming stars in the Western World. As the first Korean act to have a song enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the Wonder Girls have already opened for two of today’s hottest musical acts: opening more than 50 North American shows for the Jonas Brothers and supporting Justin Bieber. The Wonder Girls’ “Nobody” entered Billboard’s Hot 100 in October 2009: the song became an international phenomenon and the accompanying dance was done all over the world, as is evident by countless YouTube videos. Since then, the Wonder Girls have appeared on Fox’s “So You Think You Can Dance” and have graced the pages of Interview, Paper, Teen Vogue and the New York Times. 2010 saw the Wonder Girls take on their first North American tour, which hit 20 cities in the U.S. and Canada.
