The Story Behind Justin Timberlake’s Surprise Single “Soulmate”
A lot can happen when you take a few days off for the 4thof July holiday. One of those big things was a surprise release of a new single by Justin Timberlake. This new single is “Soulmate,” a fun uptempo, summer song that took us by surprise. However just as it took us by surprise, chances are it took everyone else by surprise, including some people at his own record label.
As JT indicated via his Twitter, the song came out of a recording session in the Bahamas that took place on June 26th, and was finished being mixed on July 3rd, only to be released later that day from RCA Records.

Soulmate” comes as JT is currently on his Man Of The Woods Tour in London, as he has been making headlines across the pond for cheering on England in The World Cup. England will take on Croatia in the semi finals tomorrow, and Timberlake had a special message for all of his fans that have tickets to his show at London’s O2 Arena that also wanted to see the big game.
