The Real Story Behind Taylor Swift And Calvin Harris’ Secret Collaboration On “This Is What You Came For”

Well, a TMZ exclusive has now revealed that Taylor Swift is the real creative mind, who was secretly behind Calvin Harris’ smash hit “This Is What You Came For.” Sources close to the now broken couple revealed that how Calvin treated her in the wake of the song’s release was a breaking point that lead to the end of the relationship. The  story goes that Taylor wrote the song and then demoed a recording of her singing it while playing piano to her iphone. She emailed it to Harris, who loved it. The both of them then went to the studio and did a fully produced version of the song with Taylor on vocals and Calvin on the beat.

Loving what they came up with, it was agreed that performing it as a couple would overshadow both Calvin and the song itself. Therefore, it was agreed that Taylor would keep the publishing rights, using the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg. So if that was what was agreed, why is this happening now?

According to TMZ’s source things began to unravel when Calvin chatted with radio host and media mogul Ryan Seacrest, to promote the song on April 29th. Not knowing about the true origin’s of the current single, Seacrest asked Harris would ever collaborate with his girlfriend (Taylor.)

“Will you do a collaboration with your girlfriend?” Calvin responded, “You know we haven’t even spoken about it. I can’t see it happening though.”

TMZ says that Taylor felt like Calvin took being secretive too far in his wording, and she was hurt. It wasn’t long after that that she was seen publicly dancing with Avengers star Tom Hiddelston. Taylor’s people say that she broke her silence because she’s tired of Calvin talking badly about her, implying that he should be more grateful for quietly giving him a hit song.

“This Is What You Came For” has bounced between the top 2 spots on the dance/Electronic chart and has made the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Because Taylor has the publishing rights to the song, has the right to prevent Calvin from performing the song. So far she hasn’t chosen to do that.

Calvin Has since broken his silence today in a series of tweets expressing how upset he is about how Taylor handled their songwriting arrangement in the public eye just because their relationship quickly came to an end. In the tweets  you will see that he acknowledges Taylor’s involvement, while also explaining how she originally wanted her involvement with the it to be kept secret. You will also see in the that Calvin feels hurt by the actions of Taylor and her team, and that he feels that this is being done to make him look like the bad guy.
