It looks like The Jonas brothers are reuniting to release their 5th studio album. Jo-bros Kevin and Joe caught up with MTV News on Tuesday where they revieled their coming back together to work on music as a more seasoned and mature Jonas Brothers.
“We’ve lived a lot of life. … Joe and Nick have just released amazing projects and I’m so proud of them for that,” Kevin said. “They’ve had things in their hearts they wanted to put out there [and] now it’s going to be great. We’re all doing different things, living different parts of life and getting to experience it all together again. It’s going to be lots of fun.”
“We want to be able to do things this year,” he continued. “We have plans that nobody really knows about yet, performances that are already lined up and we have music already recorded too … our [aim] is probably close to the end of the year or next year.”
Joe told MTV News that the bros would reconvene in New York City to focus on music. There they they’d be able to collaborate with their brother Nick who is currently starring in the Broadway production of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. We’ll be very interested to see what the guys come up with.
Jonas Brothers album news aside, Nick appears to be using his recent Broadway experience to help him break into a more steady acting career. In the recent promotion of the new NBC drama Smash, the news surfaced that Nick would guest star on the Steven Spielberg produced drama as a character by the name of Lyle West. Considering the show is all about the pressures of working to developing a new Broadway play, which in this case is centered around the life of sex symbol Maryland Monroe, he should be right at home. Smash’s episode that features Nick is reportedly set to air on February 27 at 10 PM on NBC. We’ll be watching.
