The Fun & Eclectic
Clizbeats is back after experiencing some technical problems, but anyways…You know Clizbeats is your source for what good music is hitting the scene’s of both commercial and independent music! We would like to point out some creative and fun music hitting the music stores soon, as well as some even out now. Some well known artists are making some comebacks after stepping our of the studio for some time! First up after stepping away from the mic due to label politics is the always animated New York emcee, Busta Rhymes! Busta is finally ready to release a new record this year after leaving former label J Records, and signing with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment in 2004. It is now 2006 and Busta is coming back with a “bang”! His Aftermath debut is called The Big Bang, and the music on the CD is expected to hold up to its name! The CD has a ton of collaborations with some great producers and guest emcees. The disc features new songs with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Eminem, ODB, and The Flipmode Squad. The CD features production by the likes of Scott Storch, The Neptunes, Swizz Beats and of course Dr. Dre! The song from the album that is getting the most buzz is the Swizz Beats produced, “Touch it”.
Busta actually recorded three additional remixes of the song as featured on AOL Music. Check them out! They feature DMX, Mary J. Blige & Rah Digga, as well as Lloyd Banks from G-Unit! More great Hip Hop coming soon is from the self-proclaimed DEFinition of Rap, LL Cool J. LL is getting ready to release his first album under new Def Jam Records President, Jay-Z called Todd Smith. The CD is set for an April release, lead by his single “Control Myself” Featuring Jennifer Lopez and produced by Jermaine Dupri!. Other spotlight tracks with guests include “Its LL And Santana” featuring Juelz Santana, “Freeze” featuring Lyfe Jennings, and “What You Want” featuring Philly rapper Freeway. Other cool new music from Philly artists besides Freeway is the latest from Pink. She is releasing her new album I’m Not Dead in April! This is Pink’s debut with The Zomba Label Group, as a member of the Zomba ran, LaFace Records. The first single “Stupid Girls” is a track talks about the media’s infatuation with the wrong kind of image for young women. In the song Pink encourages young girls to be “outcasts and girls with ambition” This song is full of Pink’s in your face attitude, and the rest of the CD should be full of it as well, since it is also executive produced by Pink! There are some other great comeback albums from The Zomba Label Group, this time with Jive Records! Former MTV Newlywed and 98 Degrees member, Nick Lachey is the first of two. Nick recently signed to Jive after parting ways with Universal Records. Now he is ready to release his second solo album in May. The first single is called “What’s Left Of Me”. It is a song he wrote in November while going through his divorce with Jessica Simpson. The song has a theme that references change and an undeniable personal reflection of a tough 2005. But after baring his soul, Nick says in the song, “you can have what’s left of me.” But when Ryan Seacrest asked him if it was about Jessica in a recent KIIS FM interview, Nick said only this “Its about looking forward, Its about moving on with your life, Its about looking ahead to things that are more positive.” No matter what Nick says about the song’s origin, he also says we all interpret songs differently. He encourages everyone to listen to his honest song writing on this album for themselves when it is released. The second Jive artist that is hitting record shelves soon is Justin Timberlake! Justin is currently putting the finishing touches on his follow up to 2002’s Justified. While doing so Justin reunites with Virginia based beat maker Timbaland. But this time JT recruited producer legend Rick Rubin (Run-DMC Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Johnny Cash, Audioslave, Jay-Z and many others) to lend a hand on this new project. In addition to Rubin’s production, JT is rumored to have enlisted the assistance of Snoop Dogg and Nelly Furtado to appear along side him as guests on the album. Justin will also produce a large majority of the record with Black Eyed Peas member Will I Am. The two have formed a production company called Jawbreakers (other songs Justin is credited as producer include *N Sync “Pop” *N Sync “Gone” *N Sync “I’ll Be Good For You” Britney Spears “What Its Like To Be Me” and others) Justin’s new album is scheduled for a summer release. If Justin fans are looking for a new track from him now, he appears as a guest on Sergio Mendez’s latest CD Timeless. Justin is a guest on the song “Loose Ends” also featuring rappers Pharoahe Monch and Will I Am of Black Eyed Peas.
