E! News has learned exclusively that Beyonce is teaming up with Outcast rapper Andre 3000 for a cover of the Amy Winehouse hit, “Back To Black.”  The cover will serve as part of the soundtrack to the feature film remake of the classic, The Great Gatsby.  It will be released through Interscope Records with her husband Jay-Z serving as the soundtrack’s producer.

The “Back To Black” remake will mark the second time that Andre and Beyonce have worked together.  Their first time was for the album version of her single “Party” in 2011.  The single version featured a verse by J. Cole, an artist managed by Jay-Z Roc Nation entertainment company.  Jay-Z himself has already made his mark on an Amy Winehouse hit.  He performed as the guest Rapper on one of 2 promo remixes for the song “Rehab” in June of 2007.  The other featured Wu-Tang Clan member, Ghostface Killah.

The Great Gatsby will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May.  We’ll keep you posted on all the Carter Family’s related soundtrack dealings.  In the mean time, check out how Jay’s 2008 single “Brooklyn Go Hard”, originally used as the lead single to the Notorious bio film, has been wonderfully repurposed for the new Jackie Robinson bio film.  42: The True Story Of An American Legend is set to hit theaters on April 12th.
