Now that the highly anticipated release of The Hunger Games is fast approaching, fans will soon be able to Immerse themselves in the feel of the predicted film favorite through the release of its soundtrack. Just as we reported at the beginning of the year, the soundtrack’s list of big names is topped off by Taylor Swift, who debuted the highly buzzed soundtrack’s lead single with the help of country duo The Civil War called “Safe And Sound”. That buzz grew even more this week with the release of “Safe And Sound”‘s follow up called “Eyes Open” which is also part of the soundtrack that is now dubbed The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond.
If that wasn’t enough to get you to betting on The Hunger Games, the rest of the soundtrack looks to be pretty cool too. In addition to Ms Swift the soundtrack features such stand outs as Arcade Fire, Miranda Lambert, Maroon 5, Kid Cudi, and more. The epic’s soundtrack is produced by veteran singer song writter and producer T-Bone Burnet .
Known by many for getting his start as a part of Bob Dylan’s Rolling Thunder Revue band, T-Bone has grown to in many ways be known better as the man behind the sound of several of Hollywood’s biggest features. That filmography includes Oh Brother Where art Thou, The Big Lebowski, and The Divine Secrets Of The Ya Ya SisterHood. In addition to soundtracks he has also collected plenty of acclaim for serving as executive producer of the Johnny Cash Bio film, Walk The Line. It’s Probably pretty safe to say that he’ll make sure that the soundtrack lives up to its lofty expectations.
The Hunger Games: Songs from District 12 and Beyond is set to hit retailers on March 20th, with the movie’s theatrical release to follow on the 24th. Check out related music from the film below and see what you think. We hope you like it!
