Super Producer Alex Da Kid Releases Debut Single “Not Easy”

Critically acclaimed producer and songwriter, Alex Da Kid, is stepping into the spotlight with his first single as a lead artist, “Not Easy” feat. X Ambassadors, Elle King & Wiz Khalifa via KIDinaKORNER/RCA Records.  The track was produced by Alex Da Kid for KIDinaKORNER, and written by Alex Da Kid for KIDinaKORNER, Sam Harris, Casey Harris, Adam Levin, Elle King, and Wiz Khalifa.  “Not Easy” is available now at all digital retail providers.

Alex Da Kid says about the track, “By definition, my role as a producer is always collaborative. I knew that when I put out my first single as an artist, I’d want to collaborate with an unexpected combination of amazing talent, so Wiz, Elle, and X Ambassadors were perfect. We each brought very different perspectives and life experience to the song and the subject of heartbreak, which is what I think makes the track work so well.”

Before becoming an artist Alex has become known as a hit maker for several different artists in many genres. He began his work with various Hip Hop stars.  He first teamed up with Sean Garrett to co-produce Nicki Minaj’s first lead single “Massive Attack.” The production collaborations continued in a big way for B.O.B.’s major label debut album, B.O.B. Presents: The Adventures Of Bobby Ray. Kid co-produced the album’s second single, “Airplanes” featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore, and the song’s official remix, which additionally featured Eminem. “Airplanes” was a huge hit, peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling over 4 million copies. The massive cross over success of “Airplanes” took his career to new heights, but in some ways the song’s remix, “Airplanes Part II” would have a bigger affect. This is because that remix featured a guest appearance from one of B.O.B.’s favorite rappers, Eminem. Em’s fans also know that the networking connection between Alex and Eminem grew to spark what would become one of Eminem’s biggest hits. That hit was, “Love The Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna, and it  became Eminem’s biggest hit since 2002’s “Lose Yourself”. It topped various charts all around the world and help Eminem’s Recovery album become the best selling album of 2010. As if that was not enough, both Eminem and B.O.B.’s label mates at Interscope and Atlantic Records wanted Alex’s magic touch on their projects as well. Diddy enlisted Alex’s talents to help breathe new life in his debut venture with Interscope, Last Train To Paris. The result was the multi-platinum single, “Coming Home.” Finally Alex was called upon by B.O.B.’s boss at Grand Hustle, T.I., to produce “Castle Walls” featuring Christina Aguilera. Soon after that Alex’s resume grew  as he dove into producing Rock artists, including some that became the foundation of KIDinaKORNER. As an producer and executive producer Alex has helped introduce the sounds of some of  the likes of Imagine Dragons, Skylar Grey, Jamie N. Commons. And X Ambassadors to the world. The KIDinaKORNER sound that this collective has made together definitely also can be heard on this from Alex as he team’s with his signee’s X Ambassadors to partner with Elle King and Wiz Khalifah on this debut single, as KIDinaKORNER begins a new and exciting chapter with Sony’s RCA Records.
