The marijuana industry continues to cross paths with the music industry more and more as it’s legalization grows across the US. Apparently, It has resulted in big business for the state of Colorado, and to almost no one’s surprise, rapper, and long time weed advocate Snoop Dogg is looking to get a hit off dat. The “Drop it Like it’s Hot” rapper launched his own marijuana.
This new brand of “sticky icky” called Leafs by Snoop, officially went on sale Tuesday in Colorado. Snoop’s brand features eight different types of “marijuana flowers”, including “Lemon Pie” and “Cali Kush”. Snoops Leafs will also give new meaning to the word baked, being made available in a series of edibles and concentrates for nonsmokers.
One of the biggest fans of weed we’ve ever seen, this looks to be the logical next step in Mr. Dogg’s weed themed business plan. Back in September the rapper launched a marijuana-media company called Merry Jane. He spoke about his new weed line in an interview with Cannabist.
“Leafs by Snoop is truly the first mainstream cannabis brand in the world and proud to be a pioneer,” Snoop said. “LBS is blazing a trail for the industry.”
If the line does well, it’s you can probably expect it to also turn up in other marijuana legal states like Alaska, Oregon and Washington. For more information go to leafsbysnoop.com.
