Last night, SHEPPARD delivered an unforgettable live rendition of their hit single “Geronimo” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. If you missed the original broadcast, you can watch it HERE! For the performance, the ARIA Award-winning Brisbane six-piece joined forces with members of The Roots, adding another dimension to this uplifting and undeniable smash. The band had the entire studio audience all singing along with “Geronimo” and even show host Jimmy Fallon made a guest appearance.
After the performance the band presented Fallon with an official Australian Rugby Wallabies team scarf and one of the bands favorite native snacks-Tim Tam cookies. See the photo here.
This is a very big week for SHEPPARD. As of today, their full-length debut album Bombs Away [School Boy Records/Republic Records] (out March 10th) is available for pre-order. Fans who pre-order the record will receive the brand new track “Find Someone,” as an instant download as well as “Geronimo,” “Flying Away,” “Smile,” and “Something’s Missing.” Already after the Fallon performance the album and single have been storming up the iTunes chart.
On Wednesday February 11, SHEPPARD begin the sold out “That Bass” tour as direct support to headliner Meghan Trainor. If you were lucky enough to score tickets, you’re in for a treat.
SHEPPARD is already the band everyone is talking about this year! Next up they’ll be performing March 10 [Bombs Away day!] on The Today Show, and March 13 on LIVE! with Kelly & Michael. Tastemakers have also lauded them across the board. Both Entertainment Weekly and USA Today dubbed SHEPPARD an “On The Verge Artist” for 2015.
You definitely have heard “Geronimo!” Its worldwide Spotify streams surpass 87 million, while it ranked in the Top 25 on iTunes Overall Top Songs Chart in 20 countries—namely Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and more. “Geronimo” was successfully broken by SiriusXM’s Hits1, AltNation, and The Pulse in North America, which in turn led to an add from Los Angeles’s legendary Alternative KROQ. What’s more, iHeartMedia has selected Sheppard for their premier artist development program, “On The Verge.”
