RACHEL PLATTEN’S “WILDFIRE” DEBUTS TOP 5 ON BILLBOARD 200

Rachel Platen “Wildfire” Columbia Records

Wildfire, the major label debut album from multi-platinum selling recording artist Rachel Platten, has entered the Billboard 200 at #5 this week. The impressive entry marks the breakthrough pop artist’s highest career debut, not to mention the week’s highest-charting album to debut. Wildfire, which features current single “Stand By You” as well as the chart-topping, multi-platinum hit “Fight Song,” is available everywhere now via Columbia Records, including iTunes and Spotify.

“Stand By You” is already proving to be another huge hit for the singer. This week, the song is Top 10 at Adult Pop radio, charting at Pop radio, and commanding 40 million in radio audience per week. “Stand By You” has reached #5 at iTunes while receiving 12 million streams on Spotify and more than 7 million views for the official music video on YouTube. Overseas, the single has been certified Gold in Australia and jumps into the Top 10 on the Singles chart in Canada this week.

To celebrate the release of Wildfire, Rachel visited NBC’s TODAY last week to perform three songs from the album; watch “Stand By You,” “Fight Song,” and the television debut of “Speechless.” Tune in to The Late Late Show with James Corden, tonight (Jan. 12) and The Talk tomorrow (Jan. 13) to catch additional performances.

The tour, featuring special guest opener Eric Hutchinson, kicks off February 26 in Dallas and crisscrosses North America with a final show at Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre on April 6.
