R. Kelly Released From Hospital After Emergency Throat Surgery

It was reported today that Grammy winning R&B singer R. Kelly was released from the hospital after throat surgery.  Kelly Spokesman  Allan Mayer said that the 44-year-old singer left Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and will is recuperate at home. Kelly’s need for emergency surgery was discovered on Tuesday  after the singer complained about having throat pain.  After an examination Kelly was forwarded directly to surgery to drain an abscess on one of his tonsils.  It is unknown at this point how long the singer will need before he can resume singing.

In a related note, Kelly has just finished the US Leg of a world wide tour in support of his critically acclaimed Love Letter album shortly before being hospitalized.
