Queen’s Freddie Mercury Will Rock You One More Time With Help From Michael Jackson

Legendary Rock band Queen is set to release a new anthology album called Queen Forever this coming November. What is making the release interesting is the fact that the album will not only feature new songs by the band’s iconic frontman Freddie Mercury, but it will also include an appearance by the late king of pop, Michael Jackson. As we first reported last year, Jackson performed three duets with Mercury on songs that sat on the self for over 30 years.

Although specific reasons for delaying those tracks can only be speculated on through hearsay given in interviews by both Jackson and Queen’s manager Jim “Miami” Beach over the years, CBS’s Radio.com has reported that one of those highly anticipated tracks, “There Must Be More To Life Than This (William Orbit mix)” featuring Jackson, will be included on the band’s 2 disc release among 35 other tracks. Die hard fans may remember a solo version this song as part of Mercury’s 1985 solo album, Mr. Bad Guy. 

The tune already made its international debut on BBC Radio 2’s Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show last week and seems to be picking up plenty of promo buzz. We weren’t able to get our hands on an officially released copy, but it is out there, and you can get an idea of what to expect if you find a copy that Sony Music hasn’t already snagged.
