Pharrell Williams Producer Of The Year?: How He Touches EDM, Pop, R&B, And Film All At The Same Time
It seems like Pharrell Williams has it locked like its 2002 all over again these days. Daft Punk’s song that he is featured on, “Get Lucky” remains one of the fastest growing songs at Pop radio just under another song he is also involved in, Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”. “Get Lucky” is not only an EDM cross over/Pop smash, It is also leaping up the Top 20 at Alternative formats and Hot AC. This allowed Daft Punk’s current album, Random Access Memories to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 with the strongest first week sales of the year just behind Justin Timberlake’s 20/20 Experience. As if that wasn’t enough, as Random Access Memories tops the charts in the UK, his latest song with Robin Thicke, “Blurred Lines” is on its way to becoming Thicke’s first number one in the UK.
