Pharrell has enjoyed massive success last year thanks to his phenomenally successful singles, “Happy” and “Blurred Lines” (By Robin Thicke Featuring Pharrell Williams And T.I./produced by Pharrell Williams as well) “Happy” has made history as the first and only song to ever reach number 1 in  six different Mediabase radio formats recently . At the end of April of 2014, “Happy” has hit the top spot of the Adult Contemporary Charts, Hot AC, and Urban AC formats. Prior to that the song had dominance over the Top 40, Urban, and Rhythm charts. The song also holds the record for the second-highest audience peak for a week on the Hot 100 Airplay, with 225.9 million impressions while “Blurred Lines” still holds the all-time record.

“Happy” remained at the top of the Hot 100 longer than any other song in the calendar year, to date. In The single passed its 4 million sales mark in April 2014, the first song of 2014 to do so. “Blurred Lines”  also received accolades recently at last month’s 2014 Billboard Music Awards. Robin, Pharrell and T.I. took home many awards that night including, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Digital Song, Top Radio Song
, and Top R&B Song
.

This success proved to be the perfect launching pad for Pharrell’s critically acclaimed second album, G.I.R.L. in March of this year. It topped many charts around the world. Just last month Pharrell released his collaboration with Miley Cyrus from the album, “Come Get It Bae” as the latest single. In 2014 he added another film score to his resume when he collaborated with Hans Zimmer and The Magnificent Six for Columbia Pictures’ The Amazing Spider-Man 2 score. Most recently, he serves as a primary producer on Ed Sheeran’s X album and is featured in the video for his latest video, “Sing.”
