Oscars Announce Best Song Considerations

In addition to announcing that Family Guy creator and star Seth McFarlane  will host this year’s Academy Awards, the nods for best song have also been released in a list of 75 potential candidates.  Some of the stand out highlights include Adele for her work on the theme to the James Bond movie Skyfall, The Black Keys’ Baddest Man Alive”, for the directorial debut of Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA, and his film, The Man With the Iron Fists, The Hunger Games’ “Abraham’s Daughter”, performed by Arcade Fire.  Other notable names on the list of 75 possible winners include Katy Perry, Norah Jones, Liz Phair, Mumford & Sons, John Legend, and Rick Ross.

The final nominations will be named will be named on January 10tu.  The 85th annual Academy Awards will air on ABC.  Will you be watching?
