Nikki Flores Channels Journey For Her New Single

Nikki Flores "City Lights" Patriot/Universal Republic Records Group
Pop/R&B singer, Nikki Flores is back in a big way! Some may remember her from a few years back as a singer/song writer on Epic Records. She made an impact after working with hot producers like The Clutch and Danja on songs like “Beautiful Boy” and “Painkiller” featuring Yung Berg among many others. Her debut single, “Strike” was even featured on the soundtrack to the 2006 film Aquamarine from 20th Century Fox. Eventually “Painkiller” with Yung Berg was included on his 2007 EP Almost Famous/The Sexy Ladies EP. But after this however, Epic Records’ parent company Sony BMG Entertainment would begin the process of being restructured back to the original Sony Music Entertainment after BMG’s share was bought back by Sony. (Eventually caused the creation of the Columbia Epic Recors Group) This delayed the release of many Epic Records’ projects of that time, including Nikki’s project which was never released.
Being the unbelievable talent that she is, Nikki continued recording and song writing with hopes of scoring an opportunity. That opportunity came with recently signing to the new label Patriot Records. Patriot Records has a very bright future ahead because of the track record of the label’s founder Ryan Tedder. Tedder is the phenominally successful song writer/record producer behind such hits like “Bleeding Love” by Leona Lewis, “Halo” by Beyonce Knowles, “Battlefield” by Jordin Sparks among many others. Last but certainly not least, Ryan is the lead singer/song writer/producer for Pop/Rock band, OneRepublic.
Ryan Tedder is no stranger to struggle in the music business. He and his band OneRepublic were originally signed and then dropped from Sony Music’s Columbia Records. The group eventually signed to Mosley Music Group/Interscope Records in 2007.(after becoming the #1 unsigned band on Myspace.com) The same album originally intended to be released by Columbia, became Dreaming Out Loud which featured the smash hit “Apologize”, at the time the most played single in Top 40 radio history . (Record Replaced By Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” Also produced by Tedder)
Ryan must see that something special that we at Clizbeats.com have always loved about Nikki. She is the flagship on Patriott Records with Tedder producing on her entire project. Her projects will be distributed by Universal Republic Records Group. Their first collaboration together is Nikki’s first single on Patriot/Universal Republic. called “City Lights.” The song cleverly samples Journey’s hit, “Lights.” Ryan’s production and Nikki’s soulful vocals give the song a new youthful soul that could definitly be a hit on today’s radio! Clizbeats.com is happy to see that Nikki is back doing her thing, she is an amazing! We look forward to more of her work with Ryan Tedder and Patriot Records! Check out her music below!
