#ICYMI: Nicki Minaj And Drake Remain Neutral in YMCMB Civil War

The rumor mill kicked into high gear yesterday when video of Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams getting denied entry into Nicki Minaj’s pre-Grammy party at 1OAK nightclub surfaced on TMZ Sunday night. Many Hip Hop gossip bloggers naturally believed that it was a sign of Nicki siding with her mentor, Lil Wayne in his very public legal battle against Birdman. This is understandable because Lil Wayne was the one responsible for signing Nicki Minaj via his Young Money Entertainment, which Birdman’s Cash Money Records distributes. However now that the smoke is cleared one thing is for certain, there is more to the story than what you see on random videos filmed on the street that are the posted on the internet for the world to see.

Now that the smoke has cleared, TMZ has learned that Nicki Minaj had nothing to do with Birdman being denied entry to the club. In fact it was reported that he and his crew were only denied entry because they wanted bottle service when the club was closing in 15 minutes.

While Young Money Entertainment’s artist, Tyga has been very publicly siding with Lil Wayne due to his own issues with Cash Money, Nicki and Wayne’s other star signee Drake have been trying to remain neutral throughout the whole legal dispute. This is according to sources close to the situation that helped clarify everything with TMZ after the Birdman video went viral. We will keep you posted on this ongoing YMCMB civil war, but in the mean time Wayne’s Young Money stars continue to remain active on the charts. Nicki Minaj just released her current single from her album, The Pinkprint called “Truffle Butter,” (Featuring Lil Wayne And Drake) while Tyga is getting a boost by RCA Records, thanks to teaming up with their artist Chris Brown for Fan Of A Fan: The Album.
