Actor/Rapper/TV And Radio host, Nick Cannon has been hospitalized with what his wife, Mariah Carey, described as “minor kidney failure.” Carey made the announcement via twitter this morning, which also included a picture of her lying beside her man in an undisclosed Aspen, Colorado hospital bed. She also posted a message on her website where she said, “We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful.”
While Nick Cannon is most recently known for his CBS Radio morning show, his hosting duties on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent”, as well as simply being the husband of Mariah Carey; he also is remembered as a musical artist. His Nickelodeon/Jive Records self titled album, released in late 2003 featured the hit song “Gigolo,” which featured a chorus sung by R. Kelly. Cannon later raised eyebrows with the release of “Can I Live” in 2006 which told the story of his mother choosing not to have an abortion when she was pregnant with him. The moving pro life song was released in 2005 as a single, but the album which was to be titled Stages never materialized in part due to Cannon pursuing his acting career.
Our thoughts and prayers are obviouslywith Nick Cannon as he recovers from his illness. You can check out Mariah Carey’s twitter posts at http://twitter.com/#!/MariahCarey and her message that she released on her webpage at http://mariahcarey.com/news/message-mariah-hospital-nick.
