Since bursting onto the music scene 10 years ago, Kelly Clarkson has released 4 studio albums (Thankful, Breakaway, My December, All I Ever Wanted), sold over 20 million albums worldwide, 10 million albums in the US and has had 7 singles in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart. She is the recipient of 2 Grammy Awards, 2 American Music Awards, 2 MTV Awards and 11 Billboard Awards. Well this week gave all of us folks in the music business a taste of what to expect from her next. As it turns out, American Idol’s first winner was teamed up with the likes of Brian Kennedy, Ester Dean, and Brett James to help concoct her first new song since 2009. Those 3 singer /songwriters together have a resume that include acts as diverse as Chris Brown, Tim McGraw, Nicki Minaj , Charice, and more, so we couldn’t help but be excited to see what they would have to offer for a voice that is as powerful and unique as Kelly Clarkson.
The result of their efforts was, “Mr. Know It All”. Described as a creative blending of the sounds of Bruno Mars and Pink, RCA Records plans to release the song for digital purchase on September 5th. It is expected to serve as the first single from her fifth album Stronger, which has an will be release date of October 25th. In the mean time you can check the song out for yourself in the embedded player below. Enjoy!
