New Music: “Almost Home” By Mariah Carey From Disney’s “Oz: The Great And Powerful”

When she is not making event TV on America’s most popular singing competition, she is busy continuing what she has done since 1990, making big event singles for us to enjoy. Her latest is a track called, “Almost Home,”the lead single from the Walt Disney Pictures film, Oz The Great And Powerful. The song was co written by Carey, along with Simone Porter, Justin Gray, Lindsey Ray, Tor Erik Hermansen, and Mikkel Eriksen, and produced Erik Hermansen, and Mikkel Eriksen, better known to music fans as the production team, Stargate. The guys of Stargate are best known fpr frequently collaborating with sing/song writer/producer, Ne-Yo. Even though Stargate leads the way on the production of the single, the soundtrack will feature a score by Danny Elfman, who notably was the man behind the music for Disney’s 2010 remake of, Alice In Wonderland. Mariah’s “Almost Home” will be released officially on February 19th, while the film starring James Franco and Milla Kunis opens on March 8th, 2013.
