New Jason Derulo “In My Head”

The 20 year old R&B singer behind the number one hit, “What’cha Say”,  Jason Derulo is finally getting ready to release his debut album early next year! With all the here today, gone tomorrow success of his peers in the digital era, some may argue that Jason is nothing more than a forgetable one hit wonder. However singing  since the age of five, Derulo has been working hard to prove that he is a force to be reckoned with in the business.

After meeting his manager at t2, Derulo not only worked on his own vocals and performance, but he was also focussed on his song writing skills with himself and for other artists. This determination and work ethic continued when Jason graduated from the New York American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

This is what layed the ground work for him to win the grand prize on the 2006 Showtime At The Apolo at 16 years old, After this he was eventually discovered by Hip Hop/R&B producer, J.R.  Rotem. While developing under Rotem, and his label, Beluga Heights, Derulo began making a name for himself writing songs for the likes of Birdman, Donnie Klang, Pleasure P, Sean Kingston, Iyaz and many others. 

This kid has been working hard and the success of his debut single proves it. Jason’s song, “Whatcha Say” has sold over one million copies in digital singles and reached #1 on the Pop Chart in November of 2009. As if his track record hasn’t already indicated, Jason has no plans on slowing down.

He is releasing his second single, “In My Head” another J.R. Rotem produced track. The song hss an upbeat rhythm with an infectious Electro Pop sound! Jason is definitley showing his ability to be a career artist!
