Neil Young Reacts To Donald Trump Using His Music To Announce Presidential Candidacy Without Permission

Billionaire Businessman, Donald Trump made international news yesterday when he declared his plans to run for president of the United States as the Republican candidate in the 2016 election. Now, despite being that super successful billionaire that has a personal net worth bigger than the yearly net earnings of some conglomerates, Mr. Trump is in the news today because he didn’t bother to clear muse usage rights for the ostentatious intro he gave himself yesterday. Onlookers are likely to remember that Trump glided via escalator to his podium in the Trump Tower in New York City with Neil Young’s “Rockin’ In The Free World” serving as his theme music. Well, It turns out that this wasn’t cool with Young. Only hours after Mr. Trump’s declaration yesterday, Neil Young’s representatives emailed us and several other mainstream media outlets to express his disapproval.
Official Statement from Neil Young:
“Donald Trump was not authorized to use “Rockin’ In The Free World” in his presidential candidacy announcement. Neil Young, a Canadian citizen, is a supporter of Bernie Sanders for President of the United States of America.”
