Ne-Yo’s “Behind The Music” Brings Lawsuit From EX

R&B singer/songwriter/producer Ne-Yo is facing a is facing a defamation law suit.  The one suing him is his ex girlfriend Jesseca White.  Ne-Yo dated White before his career breakthrough, and was at one time suspected to be the father of White’s child, born in  2005.  It was later determined that Ne-Yo wasn’t the father, and the two parted ways.  Ne-Yo then went on to describe his take of the relationship and its end as part of his featured episode of VH1’s Behind The Music In September.

According to TMZ, Jesseca claims she was portrayed as “an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child … so that she could fraudulently milk him of ‘ungodly amounts of money.'”

Jesseca alleges that she told Ne-Yo that the child might not be his.  She also claims that Ne-Yo’s TV appearance  has resulted in people regularly calling her a variety of bad things, including gold digger,  and that Ne-Yo’s remarks have negatively effected her career as a photographer and graphic designer.  She is suing for unspecified damages.
