The four-track set stands emblematic of the singer and songwriter’s immense vocal prowess and soulful spirit. “Don’t Say You Will” feat. multi-platinum rapper T.I., builds from a delicate piano into an impassioned crescendo augmented by towering falsetto. “Dream” lives up to its name with an entrancing and ethereal chorus and driving beat, while“Overrated” pairs KEVIN with NE-YO for an R&B anthem uniting a master and promising new-comer of the genre. After his show-stopping turn on Maxwell’s “Summer Solstice”, NE-YOinvited KEVIN to open this fall’s “One Night With Ne-Yo Tour”, kicking off in San Francisco at the Warfield on October 12. Expect more electrifying performances from this powerful young voice as well as some surprises.
