It’s official, “All I want For Christmas Is You” is a perfect example of a modern age Christmas music classic.  Even though many of us have already known this, what  makes it official right now? Well, eighteen years after it was first released as part of her Christmas music album, Merry Christmas, “All I want For Christmas Is You” has hit number 29 on the Billboard chart.  It previously reentered the charts in the year 2000, reaching number 83.  “All I want For Christmas Is You” was originally released for promotion only, not sale in 1994.  Therefore it didn’t break on to the Billboard Charts that year.  It did howeverhit number 12 on the radio air play charts the week of Jan. 7, 1995.  According to Billboard, this was he highest rank for a holiday song in the chart’s 22-year history.

Cheers to you Ms Carry.  We are true fans of the song.  This is an accomplishment among accomplishments.  You should be proud.  Check out “All I want For Christmas Is You”‘s equally iconic music video below!
