TMZ.com and various other sources are reporting that M-Bone from Hip Hop group, Cali Swag District died last night from gun shot wounds. Cali Swag District is a group from Inglewood California founded by former Death Row Records artist, Big Wy. They signed with Checkmate Entertainment/Capitol Records in 2010. They are best known for the hit, “Teach Me How To Dougie,” which created a dance craze that everyone was doing. It was even shouted out bu Bruno Mars in his hit single, “The Lazy Song”. “Teach Me How To Dougie” is the first single from the group’s forthcoming debut album, The Kickback. After “Teach Me How To Dougie” was certified platinum, Capitol Records released their second single, “Where You Are”, which sampled a young Michael Jackson.

Capitol on released the title track of the album to help the promotion of its release, that has yet to be determined. Due to M-Bone’s passing, there is no telling if Capitol still plans to release the album. M-Bone died in Inglewood California, he was only 22 years old.
