Singer/songwriter/producer, Lenny Kravitz  is getting to ready to release his highly anticipated 9th studio album, Black And White America later this summer! This will be Kravitz’s first album since 2008,. It will also be his first album under his new deal with Roadrunner/Atlantic Records, ending his career spannung relationship with Virgin Records/EMI.

Black and White America is Kravitz’s long awaited 70’s funk inspired studio album he began working on in 2003. The project, originally called, The Funk Album was nearly completed, but Lenny then scrapped the album and began working on what became his 2004 album, Baptism. Now many years later he is ready to take that album out of the vault and share it with the world.

Although it was originally intended to be released at the end of 2010, Kravitz did not finish putting the final touch on the album until May of this year. Like most of his material, the album is produced by Lenny with additional instrumentals by his freiend and frequent collaborator, Craig Ross. The album’s single, “Come On Get it was featured in an NBA Commercial in late 2010, and the album’s current single “Stand” was serviced to Hot AC radio earlier this month. Be on the look out for Lenny Kravitz’s Black And White America, hitting stores on August 22nd!
