Lady Gaga Gives Major Hints About New Album “ARTPOP”
Lady Gaga made a big announcement via her Little Monsters website today. Along with the provided graphic, Gaga went on to reveal that she would be releasing her new album ARTPOP on November 11th. She then went on to give hints of what fans could expect, describing the project as “a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology.”
Through using this new format listeners/users are intended to feel the “adrenaline of fame” by using a new social media music community known as “auras.” Through using this new approach to media consumption, Gaga claims that ARTPOP will alter the human experience with social media in ways that compare to the work of artist Andy Warhol. It seems like something the entire industry could be talking about for quite a while if it lives up to its hype.
The album’s first single is set for release on August 19th. ARTPOP preorder will be available on September 1st. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
