Katy Perry Returns With First New Solo song since 2017
In case you missed it, Katy Perry ended last week with the release of a new single and video. She did so with the release of her first new solo music since 2017. On the single “Never Really Over,” In the new track Katy explores the nature of relationships. She co-wrote “Never Really Over” with Zedd, Dan Haywood, Leah Haywood, Dagny, Gino Barletta, Michelle Buzz, Jason Gill and Hayley Warner. The track was produced by Zedd and Dreamlab. This was her second collaboration with Zedd after singing guest vocals on his track from 2019, “365.”

Katy reflected on “Never Really Over”, by saying, “All of our relationships – from first love, through failed love, to great love – all become a part of you, so that none are ever really over, and once you accept both the dark and the light, you may find that the darkness brought you to the light.”
She appeared on a recent episode on Apple Music’s Beats 1 with Brooke Reese where she went into further detail about how her latest music reflects her her personal journey.
