KACY HILL DEBUT EP, BLOO, ARRIVES TODAY ON G.O.O.D. MUSIC/ DEF JAM RECORDINGS !

October 9, 2015 – New York, NY)  Critically acclaimed new singer / songwriter Kacy Hill, who reached the Top #5 on Spotify’s Global Viral Top 50 chart with “Foreign Fields,” premiered her new single“Arm’s Length” via Vulture and “Shades Of Blue” via Zane Lowe prior to their October 9^th release on BLOO, her debut EP on G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam Recordings.

As anticipation for the arrival of BLOO heats up, Vulture exclusively premiered the 5 song EP yesterday. The final tracklisting for the BLOO EP is as follows: 1. Foreign Fields * 2. Arm’s Length * 3. Shades of Blue * 4. Foreign Fields (Yung Gud Remix) * 5. Arm’s Length (Bodhi Remix).  The EP is a sensory wonderland for Kacy, a visual musician who approaches her songs with an aesthetic lens.  She teamed up with visual artist Shae Detar for the BLOO artwork, as well.

Kacy wrote the stripped down, airy “Foreign Fields” with British producer and artist Jack Garratt, after he was matched with her in the studio by famed producer and Def Jam co-founder Rick Rubin.  Kacy characterized the song as about “exploring new space in your life and surrounding yourself with people that encourage you to push past a comfort zone.”  The “Foreign Fields” video was directed by legendary fashion photographer Rankin.

As a member of the Vanessa Beecroft-curated performance troupe for Kanye West’s Yeezus tour, Kacy fell in love with music and shortly thereafter debuted “Experience” to critical raves. She soon found herself named as one of Dazed & Confused’s most exciting creative artists for 2015, as well the newest signing to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music.
