Justin Timberlake And Ben Affleck In “Runner Runner” 20th Century Fox

After he and his *NSYNC band mates went their separate ways post MTV VMAs, Justin Timberlake hung around New York City to do some press about the VMAs, his new album, and his new movie, Runner Runner. During his press time we found out something we at Clizbeats have in common with him. It turns out we are all big Batman fans. In an interview he did with New York’s Fresh 102.7, he explained how big of a Batman fan he was growing up. He also gave props to his Runner Runner co-star Ben Affleck for being cast as Batman/Bruce Wayne in the 2015 Man Of Steel sequel. Justin explained his excitement for the casting by saying “Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it,” Timberlake said. He continued by adding “I think he’s a brilliant filmmaker. I think he’s an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people.” For anyone who doubts Ben’s chops for the role, JT went on referencing his recent acclaimed hits. “The Town is not a joke, Argo is not a joke.”

Both films that Justin is referring to were both previously released by the DC Comic franchise studio, Warner Bros. Both of these films also don’t just star Affleck, he also directed and produced them as well. (Screen writer for The Town and producer for Argo) It also important to remind everyone that Argo did win Best Picture at last year’s Oscars too! Take a listen to Justin Timberlake gush about Batman, and in a clip of the Fresh 102.7 interview.
