Justin Timberlake Is Not A “Role Model” On New Song With FreeSol!

Sometimes with all he has accomplished it is starting to look like singer turned award winning actor, Justin Timberlake can do what ever he wants in entertainment. Well after hearing his new song, “Role Model” with Rap/Rock band, FreeSol you have to really start to believe it. The singer who has not released any of his own material since 2006’s, FutureSex/LoveSounds is back in the studio! But this time he is not singing Pop or R&B, he is just going straight Hip Hop/Rap.  There is no other way to sugar code this, yes that’s right, the former *N Sync member is now leading the song with an witty, well delivered rap about how he is not “a role model.” In his lyrics he is not afraid to go hard using explicit lyrics, joke about his public persona, or even cleverly signify Janet Jackson’s “wardrobe malfunction” at the 2004 Super Bowl.

Timberlake also tweeted out a link to the video Wednesday, (10/19/11) writing: “In case you missed it, check out the @Freesol video premiere…pass it on!!” Well JT that is what we are doing! For those who do not already know Free Sol is a Rap/Rock  band like you have never heard before. The band’s web site describes them as a “progressive and unique hip-hop, rock, and soul infused band.”

They signed with Timberlake’s Tennman Records in 2006. Tennman then signed a joint venture deal with Jimmy Iovine’s Interscope Records in 2007. “Role Model” will most likely serve as the band’s first single from their forthcoming debut album, No Rules, produced by Timberlake. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the album will also feature production by, Jim Jonsin, best known in Hip Hop for signing and producing B.O.B., and Mike Elizondo. Mike has worked with everyone from Dr. Dre and Eminem, to co-producing with Timberlake and The Y’s with Leona Lewis. FreeSol’s album is due for release by Tennman/Interscope either at the end of 2011, or at the beginning of 2012.
