Justin Bieber And Boyz II Men End 2011 In A Big Way
It’s become pretty clear that Justin Bieber is arguably the busiest male Pop star in the industry right now. We say that with great confidence after reviewing all the major moves he’s making that will wrap up 2011 in a big way. First on the list of these recent major moves is the music video for his latest holiday single to make a pre Christmas impact on audiences, “Fa La La”. “Fa La La” was released online via Vevo at the end of last month. In the video he is joined by Boys II Men, who also famously joined Justin to sing his hit, “U Smile” in his super successful bio documentary, Never Say Never, that was released on Valentine’s Day this year. These appearances serve as what has to be an awesome milestone for the young singer. This is because by doing them, he was able to fulfill performing both live and on record with a group he has referenced as a major influence, while also exposing that group to millions of eager fans from a new generation. Like nearly every video he ever has his name on, it has already become a viral sensation. Within the 3 weeks of being active online, “Fa La La” has accumulated a staggering 11,723,3030 views!
The video is taken from Bieber’s multi-platinum holiday album, Under The Mistletoe from RBMG/Isand Records and The Island Def Jam Music Group. This is Boyz II Men’s first holiday song since the release of their 1993 Motown album, Christmas Interpretations. That album has become an R&B Christnas classic and features their hit single, “Let It Snow” featuring Brian McKnight.
Under The Mistletoe marks Justin’s 4th release since the release of his debut My World EP in November 2009. All of his music projects have achieved platinum status in various countrues, and his film from earlier this year has become the top grossing concert themed film of all time in this country. With all that success you would think that Justin has earned the right to slow down, however he and his label will do no such thing. Justin will be releasing his next secular Pop music album, Believe in early 2012! That album has been in the works since before talk of Under The Mistletoe, it is expected to feature appearances from his Island Def Jam label mate, Kanye West, and Young Money/Cash Money rapper, and fellow Canadian, Drake. Dr. Dre has been rumored to add to the album’s production, however that has not yet been confirmed. Stay tuned for more details on that project, until then look for Justin on Disney’s Christmas Day Parade at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando on ABC.
