#ICYMI: Taylor Swift’s ‘Look What You Made Me Do,’ Annotated

We doubt you did, but In case you missed it, the music video for Taylor Swift’s new single “Look What You Made Me Do” premiered at the 2017 VMAs, and to  no one’s surprise, this  self-deprecating but epically theatrical look at  of her often gossiped about public personas is peppered with many references to her throwing shade at several celebrity associates.  Described by commentators as a revenge anthem, that targets  everyone from Katy Perry and Calvin Harris to Tom Hiddleston and Kanye West, and more. In fact, there are so many more that even non music media are weighing in on things.  One of the coolest examples of this comes from the Washington Post, who edit in visual aids to explain the many ways this shade was broken down on a cinematic scale.  Enjoy!
