Ke$ha’s mother Pebe Sebert entered rehab for PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) shortly after her daughter decided to go get help for an eating disorder. Sad details came this week when Pebe released her first interview with PEOPLE. It’s no secret that Ke$ha’s current condition is being blamed on Dr. Luke and former manager David Sonenburg, but the details are surprising and sad. According to the recent interview, Pebe claims Ke$ha has had body image issues since middle school, but they have been progressively getting worse, claiming things got so bad that it was having a lasting effect on her health.

“The doctors told me her blood pressure and sodium levels were so low, they’d never seen it that low except with someone who’d had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn’t already dropped dead on stage.”.Sebert continues by telling a story about a heartbreaking conference call that left the pop star in tears and considering suicide, during this call, Sonenburg told the singer, “you need to lose weight, I don’t care what you do… take drugs, not eat, stick your finger down your throat…”

Both Sonenburg and Luke deny claims being made by the singer and her family, however, in a statement released by Luke, he says that Ke$ha has his “utmost support and well wishes in her road to recovery.”

The last straw was when the singer came clean to her mother about how much she had really been vomiting, as she, like most people with an eating disorder, was very sneaky about it. Pebe released this statement after she entered rehab stating,  “ The whole Dr. Luke thing has almost torn my family apart and taken over my life. Ke$ha wants me to heal along with her.”

Focusing on the future,

Pebe says, “ At this point she (Ke$ha) doesn’t care if she ever makes a record again, she just wants to be happy and healthy.”

Very sad situation but we wish them both all the best while getting happy and healthy.  Check out the full article here:
