When you’re a celebrity, the unforgiving world of pop culture can be truly relentless, something that rap mogul Jay-Z is well accustomed to, especially after the elevator altercation with his sister-in-law, Solange.
As they always do when faced with these important pop culture events, parody kings SNL did their best clear the air of what is now being called “Elevator-Gate” on their season finale last this past Saturday.
In the opening skit, Fake Jay-Z, Solange and Beyonce present their sides of the story, airing the footage with the(dubbed) missing audio. The now audible video shows it was all a misunderstanding, and Solange was simply helping Jay-Z with some “arachnophobia” issues, and that a “butt picking” security guard was simply invading their privacy. Check it out below.

Back in reality, the security guard who released the tapes, whose name has yet to be released, has since been fired from the hotel, but not without a large severance package courtesy of TMZ. According to Page Six the unnamed guard sold the tape to TMZ, after shopping around for five days. The agreed final Price tag?…oh just $250,000!
The drama didn’t stop there. Everything surrounding the Carter family and this infamous incident has been scrutinized with speculation in every way possible. So… Just in case you missed it, Ken Baker from E! News broke all the details down in a recent conversation with with KIISFM’s On Air with Ryan Seacrest morning show. Get your fill as Baker discusses the rumors and conspiracy theories of “Elevator-Gate,” below.

The Associated Press released an exclusive statement on thursday that said, “Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”
That unity can be seen with true Carter family style in the recently released mock film trailer, “Run”, that is designed to promote Jay & Bey’s upcoming collaborative, “On the Run” tour. The trailer features a slew of prolific actors and celebrities. Some big names include Blake Lively, Sean Penn, and Don Cheadle. Just a heads up, it features NSFW content. Check it out below.
