#ICYMI: Jason Aldean Reflects On Rout 91 Harvest Festival Shooting
In case you missed it, Country star Jason Aldean visited Ellen on Monday during the recent press blitz for the ACM’s this past weekend. While on the show, the country star recounted his now infamous performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas, which turned out to be the site of the worst mass shooting in American history, killing 58 and wounding 546 people, and reflected on visiting survivors at the hospital.
“It was rough, one of the hardest things I probably ever had to do,” Aldean recalled to DeGeneres. “But to me, seeing them and some of the strength they had just being happy to be alive and make it through that, it sort of allowed me to look at it in a different light too, and be like yeah, if these people can come back from it and have that sort of attitude, then I got nothing to be whining about.”
Aldean also took home the Entertainer of the Year Award Sunday (Apr. 15) at the ACM Awards. He notably shouted-out the survivors and victims in his acceptance speech.
