#ICYMI: Details on T.I. And Tiny Divorce Rumors And The Floyd Mayweather Drama

T.I. & Tiny

So, maybe you heard by now that rapper T.I. and boxer Floyd Mayweather got into a bit of a beef this weekend? Well, now that we’ve jump-started our engine after the holiday break, we took the time to learn what it was all about. There’s a bit of a history of alleged possibilities that tie both the fight and T.I.’s divorce rumors together. From what we can tell, this “family hustle” is goin’ down like something outta “Love And Hip Hop.” Here are all the details, just in case you missed it.

Although “Trouble man” (T.I.) gets props for having the guts to take on a pro fighter without even seeming to care, we now know that it was because his aggression was fueled by the worry that Mayweather and his wife Tameka “Tiny” Harris may have been messin’ around. Mayweather broke the incident down in his own words when talking with NicoleBitchie.com before going on to explain that he wouldn’t mess with a married woman.  That said, according to Mayweather, the Family Hustle’s (T.I. and Tiny’s VH1 reality show) family drama that blew up the blogs this weekend was ignited by an instagram photo of Mayweather and Tiny together in Las Vegas.

“I been knowing Tiny before T.I. I’ve never slept with her, I never kissed her, never touched her in no inappropriate way. Her friend Shekinah wanted to come to the [May 4th] fight, she brought Tiny with her. They came to the fight.

After the fight was over Saturday night, Sunday they came over my mother’s house. My mother had a big, big party for me. They came over and showed love. They came over to my house all cool, all respect. Hang out with The Money Team, my crew. Everybody was cordial. No disrespecting type. After that, I guess she put a picture up on Instagram of her at the fight so I guess he [T.I.] was feeling some type of way.”

Some type of way indeed! In NicoleBitchie’s exclusive he goes on to explain that he and T.I. talked twice on the matter. Once in New York, and a second time in Vegas. Mayweather explained that he didn’t do anything with T.I.’s wife when he was approached both times, but felt provoked by T.I. the when T.I. approached him in the middle of Floyd’s daughter’s birthday celebration. The conversation is a little crazy. Read it here.

After a little digging, it isn’t hard to see why T.I may be on edge. To our knowledge, rumors about his celeb marriage ending in divorce have been in heavy rotation for about a month now. Sites like Bossip.com have gone on record saying that this is because T.I. has been having affairs with two different mistresses. Characterized as women he “sponsors” the report by Bossip says that T.I. has been seeing one of them for about a year, and now she’s pregnant. Tiny got word of this from her hairdresser and mutual friend to Floyd Mayweather, Shekinah.

Hip Hollywood broke down some of the social media related to the drama in their recent report.

We first took notice to the hints of the rumored marital trouble when the remix of Jhene Aiko’s “The Worst” was released. The track features T.I. and he used his two featured verses as a platform to discuss relationship drama in a manner that we felt goes well beyond tong and cheek feature credit pop music themes. Maybe it’s his way of telling his side of the story? Check it out below and see if you hear it the way we do.

Tiny did go on record about the couple’s status during a recent appearance on The Arsenio Hall Show earlier this month. She said that they are still together, and played everything off as if it was all blog-based rumors. However, it’s important to note that those words aired before the Memorial Day weekend incident we are now talking about.

We hope everything work out for the best. The couple has been together for 13 years, despite several run-ins with the law, and we’ve grown to appreciate T.I. as the “hustle gang Huxable” of their VH1 reality show.  It was a surprising treat to see that family man side of him, and such a divorce could scar that greatly. It’s doubtful that this is the last we’ll hear of this. We’ll keep you posted on anything new, just incase you missed it.
