In case you missed it, Jack U’s Diplo made history over the weekend when he performed with Major Lazer in front of an estimated 400,000 fans in Havana, Cuba. It was the first performance by a major U.S. pop act since tensions between the two nations have eased. CBS News’ Charlie Rose went to Cuba to see Diplo and discuss this historic opportunity. Rose joined CBSN to reflect on that experience. See the video above.
In related news, Diplo also revealed, exclusively to Charlie Rose, that Jack Ü will release new music to coincide with the Coachella festival. Prior reports also indicate that he’s been planning to drop new music to coincide with Coachella for some time now. Back in November, the famed DJ/producer also told 103.3 AMP Radio, that his other project, Major Lazer, will also drop Coachella weekend, April 15-17th.
