Halsey To Headline 2018 Common Ground Festival And Score Voice Role In “Teen Titans Go” Movie

Multi-platinum alternative Pop maverick Halsey will headline Friday, July 6th at the 2018 Common Ground Music Festival.

The GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer/songwriter from Edison, New Jersey claimed the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 with her second release, hopeless fountain kingdom, an album Rolling Stone called “bold” in a 4-star review, claiming that “Halsey could go anywhere from here.” The album has since gone on to deliver two Top 3 platinum hits – “Now or Never” and “Bad At Love”. Indeed, since storming on the music scene in 2015, she has garnered over 2 billion streams globally and more than 2 million global sales, graced the covers of magazines from Nylon to Billboard to Forbes, among others. Halsey went from putting songs on SoundCloud to having her first full length album, BADLANDS, certified platinum by the RIAA within one year of its release, from couch surfing to witnessing her first tour sell out in minutes to touring globally with sold out dates on five continents (including a sold-out Madison Square Garden performance) and performing for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway.

Joining Halsey on the Friday, July 6th lineup is Colombian-Canadian singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez, American rapper and songwriter Denzel Curry, Smino, Sasha Sloan, and London Richards.

 Originally released as the third official single from, hopeless fountain kingdom, “Alone” has already amassed almost 20 million cumulative streams and counting. It’s also a critic’s favorite, with The Guardian calling it “the album’s standout,” and Pitchfork describing it as “plush with brass and cellos.” In this fresh take, Halsey’s song crisscrosses a swaggering verse from Big Sean and an island-swept cameo courtesy of U.K. trailblazer Stefflon Don.
Halsey continues to flourish, receiving an “Outstanding Music Artist” nomination for hopeless fountain kingdom from the 2018 GLAAD Awards. She pushes creative boundaries expanding her influence and impact beyond music diving into fashion. High-end fashion retailer Yves Saint Laurent recently tapped her as a brand ambassador of YSL Beauté where she will help create and share makeup looks that speak to today’s millennial. Halsey’s appeal extends internationally. She graces the cover of U.K. based Wonderland Magazine’s spring 2018 edition. This summer, she will make her big screen debut as she joins the cast of the animated movie Teen Titans GO! To The Movies as the voice of Wonder Woman.
